Life has definitely not been a bed of roses for me.
The flu I'm been having is over one week old by now.
Even though the sore throat and coughing are gone.
As if that wasn't bad enough.
I had to go and do something which.
I think I'm gonna regret for a long,long time.
Maybe forever.
And the ironic thing was.
I was suppossed to have no more regrets after doing it.
Talk about an oxymoron.

Nevermind.
Anyway.
Nothing much to add except.
Disco rock is real fun with a partner around.
Ok.That's about it I guess.

The Dance Club Dairies
Chapter 4 - "You Dance.I Dance."(Part 2 - "Couples.")
"WHAT?!?"
Bryan,Andy and me shouted at the same time.And strangely,the normally over-reactive Thomas didn't say anything.Did....did we just heard what we just heard?She definitely said COUPLE DANCE these 2 words.Lao Shi wasn't joking right?And somehow,looking at Lao Shi's smiling face and the 4 girls' sheepish looks.I sorta got the idea that she was pretty serious about what she said.At the same time.I also realised all of a sudden why the 4 girls Lao Shi chose for the couple dance seemed so familiar.They were the girls who had declared they had ballet experience during the Waterfall incident.No wonder.And....Oh my God.WHY MUST IT BE THE THREE OF THEM WHO ARE SELECTED?.......Nevermind.Worry about that later.And thus,coming a conclusion that this was for real.My first reaction was to turn to Andy and see what his reaction was.And was surprised to see him....
Looking directly back at me with the exact same expression.
........
Somehow,we were on the same frequency.
Thinking about the exact thing.
Ok.Nevermind.Let's see what Bryan's reaction is.And then.Almost as if the three of us rehearsed this beforehand.Me and Andy turned our heads at the exact same time and looked over at Bryan.Who just so happnen to be looking toward our direction.
WITH THE EXACT SAME EXPRESSION ON HIS FACE.

Goodness.We were all definitely thinking at the same level.And somehow,seeing each other's similar expressions.We got so tickled that the three of us started laughing uncontrollably.Which obviously made Thomas,Lao Shi and the girls pretty puzzled.Well.You can't really blame them can you.They didn't know the actual story behind our laughter.And looking back at it now.it really was kinda funny.Ahahahaha.I'm so sorry.Thus.It was amidst the laughter that this recent scene at the gym came flashing back in my mind.
-A Few Weeks Back-
"Hey Andy,Neo!Here already?It's still very early you know."Bryan greeted us when we entered the gym.Immediately.Andy and I gave each other a tired look.Shrugged our shoulders and decided not to say anything.You know.Sometimes.Bryan's statements can be so DUH.Wasn't he at already the gym even before we came?Goodness.Anyway.Looking at the clock.I realised that it was indeed still very early.Almost an hour before dance practice began.Guess we should have taken our time with lunch.So.With nothing around to do except gym equipment.The three of us decided to try out some of the gym equipment while haveing a little chat.And boy.We would never have guessed what an interesting chat it was going to turn out to be.
Our chat started off with the usual stuff.What happened in class or lecture that day.Any unusual people or funny experiences we met or had.Our classmates so on and so forth.Then.We somehow started talking about life before YJC.About our outside friends.About working life and our collegues.And of course.Our secondary school life.Now.It was at this point of time that Andy suddenly asked the two of us."Hey.I just realised that both of you were from boy's schools.So meaning that you guys must have very little female friends right?So....waht you think of the girls in Dance Club?Any particular one you are interested in?"Now it was at this point of time that my mind went.
Oh.Shit.
Andy's asking that question.Again.Now.Even though I knew Andy would ask Bryan and me this question sooner or later.I never would have expected him to ask me again so soon.Cause barely 2 weeks ago.On our way home.Andy had asked me the exact same question.And somehow.I couldn't really reply him because at the back of my mind.I had a sneaking suspicion that he and I liked the same girl.And it would really be kinda embarassing if I answered him and it was the truth.So I told him I'll tell him the answer another time.And funny enough.He said ok and just left it at that.And somehow,I felt that he was getting the same kinda feeling as I was.
Anyway.Bryan obviously protested.Initially.You see.Bryan's the kind of person whose words and thoughts dun really match.He may be saying he doesn't wanna tell.But both me and Andy knew that if we disturbed and persuaded him log enough,he will readily spill all the beans.And boy were we right."Ok ok.I give up.I'll tell you guys."Bryan finally relented with much 'reluctance' before continuing."Actually,I kinda liking 2 girls at the same time now."Obviously,Andy and me went "Ooohhh."Much to Bryan's embarassement of course.Who promptly defended himself with his usual tone,"EH!I was from a boy's school ok!Got a lot of catching up to do!So can't blame me ok...."Unfortunately,his self-defence only resulted in even more sarcasm from us,as we rolled our eyes and said,"Yah yah yah....WHATEVER.Cut the bullshit already.Just tell us who she is.Or rather,who THEY are.Hahahaha."
And FINALLY.Bryan relented at last and replied sheepishly."Ok ok FINE....Eh..Actually..it's kinda embarassing to say this but....I find both Lindy and Jessie to be attractive in their own ways.If we talk about Lindy.She has that cool,beautiful ice queen look which is so ever so mysterious and fascinating.As for Jessie.Her cute and bubbly personality speaks for itself la."Pausing for a brief moment,he continued.".......Yah lah.That's about it lah.Now what about you guys.And by the way.You guys better keep this a secret or I'll personally STRANGLE THE BOTH OF YOU IF THEY FIND OUT ABOUT THIS OK?Hahaha."
Now.After hearing Bryan's response.The very first thought I had was like.'Phew....Luckily it's not her.Thank God.'And obviously.I immediately turned over to Andy to see what his reaction was.From his reaction,I would be able to know whether he was liking the same girl as me or not.Fortunately for me,I managed to catch his rather stunned face before he recovered almost immediately.Which could only mean one thing.'Bingo.The girl he likes msut be one of the two girls that Bryan likes as well.That was probably why he looked so stunned.Well.That leaves me out of the picture."Feeling somewhat relieved,I turned back and faced Bryan who was still rambling."Hey what about you guys.Tell leh.I already told you guys liao.Must be fair what."Haha.Apparently Bryan didn't catch Andy's reaction just now.Guess he'll be in for a surprise.
As usual.Andy was the one who spoke first,me being the "unautomatic and unvoluntary" sort.And surprisingly.He mangaged to get his words out rather calmly without revealing anything.Just like Andy,definitely older and wiser."Ok.Bryan.I think I shall say first.Since it's pretty obvious Neo is not gonna say anything until after I did."Saying nothing.I simply smiled in agreement."Now.Let's see.This is gonna sound pretty ridiculous Bryan.But I've to tell you that one of the girls you like is the girl I like as well.And she is Lindy."Obviously.Bryan was rather surprised when he heard that.And immediately went,"OHHHH....Now I know....Haha.Guess I can't blame you.She is one of a kind."Pausing for a moment however,he continued with a grin on his face."BUT SO IS JESSIE!"Upon hearing that..the three of us immediately started laughing."Now that is a good one Bryan!"I said in between peals of laughter.
When the laughter finally subsided.I suddenly noticed the two of them looking at me.Waiting.'Well my turn now.No escape for me I guess.'I thought.And pausing for a brief moment,I began."Well.Firstly.I would say that I am pretty relieved that I didn't like the same girl you guys liked as well.Or else there would really be some problems I guess."I paused as more laughter ensued."Anyway.Honestly.I really quite embarassed to say out her name.Even if it was in front of only you guys.You guys know me well enough right.So gimme a breake lah.But dun worry.I will give you an obvious clue as to who she is."Having said that,I paused again.This time closing my eyes and recalling the first time that I saw her.
"She....I guess that the first thing I noticed about her..and what attracted me the most about her.From the very first time I stepped into this gym..half dragged along by Mdm Chan...till today..I guess.It was her long beautiful tresses....her hair that always caught my eye first.Sometimes.she ties it into two long ponytails..which makes her look so cute.And sometimes.She simply twirls it around on top in a spiral manner..which makes her look so sophisticated and really brings out the woman in her.Whatever the case.Her hair always made her look even more attractive than she already was."
Upon saying that.I opened my eyes and promptly saw both Andy and Bryan looking at me with grinning faces.I guess that clue was obvious enough.Even though it was really my actual thoughts."Hah.That's too easy lah Neo."Andy said.With Bryan continuing."Yah loh.It's so obvious who she is."And with that.They began together."Let us guess..the girl you like is Ger-
-Back to the Present-
"Guoqing!Are you listening to me?"
Immediately.I was snapped back to the present by Lao Shi's booming voice.
"Eh Guoqing.Did you hear what I just said?And why were you grinning to youself just now?"
Regarding her question.I obviously did not hear what she said.And I definitely did not know what answer to give her regarding why I was grinning.
Thus I decided to simply shake my head and keep quiet.
It was then that I happened to notice that both Andy and Bryan were looking rather weird.Especially Andy.
What happened?

Shit.Must be something Lao Shi said.
What did Lao Shi say just now?!?
And ironically.I got my answer almost immediately.
"OK nevermind.Just pay attention from now on ok.As I was telling Andy and Bryan and Thomas just now.Because couple dances are very difficult to coordinate,they are seldom used in a mass dance arrangement and mostly done solo.Also,male dancers are so rare that there are almost zero to one in most dance clubs.Fortunately for us.Not only do we have male dancers in our dance club.We actually have 4!Which can only mean one thing.If we added a couple dacne with four couples into this mass dance arrangement.I am quite confident to say that we will definitely get gold in this year's SYF.But like I said earlier.Couple dances are not easy.Which is why I have decided to pick 4 experienced female dancers with ballet background to support you inexperienced greenhorns."
Pausing for only a brief moment to catch her breath.She continued almost immediately.
"Therefore,after much careful consideration and simple comparing and contrasting of your your heights and builts.I have decided upon the various couples of this couple dance.Now.Hopefully,the couples I have paired up would cooperate with one another and try their hardest to make this couple dance a success and our dance arrangement a gold medalist winner.Ok guys?Now I shall tell you who your various partners are.Bryan.Your partner is Huizhu.Jessie.You'll be Thomas' partner.Andy.You will partner Lindy.And lastly.Guoqing.Pay attention ah.I dun wanna repeat myself again.You'll partner Germac.Ok.that's it.You guys all got it right?"
