(WARNING:The followling Blog Entry contains one helluva lot of pictures. So unless you have a broadband conenction, which is what I think most of you would have. Please do not attempt to view this blog entry.Unless you wanna suffer the a fate of waiting worse than the time taken for China to become a democratic country.Otherwise, proceed as usual and just treat the previous few lines of dialogue by me as pure bull.)

My insomnia problem. Is really getting from bad to worse.
Now how do I know that? From one simple fact.

I went cycling to town at 2am last night.

Yes.Yes.I know I have no life. But the truth,is for a while now,I've been wanting to go on a over-night cycling trip thru town and the CBD area.To do what you may ask.Well.Actually.I wanted to take pictures of Singapore's night scenery.Especially certain places and buildings in town whereby in the daytime,it would almost be impossible to take pictures as there are just too many people walking around and blocking all the nice angles and views of the landmarks.

Besides.Rather than staying at home and complaining about how boredom is killing me as I simply can't seem to fall asleep.I thought that I might as well go out and have some fresh air. It's been like what?Almost a year since I went cycling with that stupid Nuhc who is now happily attached and thus no longer need night cycling to occupy his free time.

Therefore.Having packed a waterbottle, camera, camera stand and other misc going-out barang-barang into my waist pouch.I made my way silently out of the house and onto my bicycle. My good old blue Aston Martini.Who has been with me for almost 8 years.

........

OK fine. It's just Martini without the Aston.Anyway.I've always been telling myself, once this old bicycle bites the dust,I'll go get a new one.Year after year I've said that and now. It's been almost 8 years. No matter how roughly I rode it,it remains loyal as ever, bringing me to any ridiculous destination that I wanted. In fact,I ridden it like twice around the entire island.Which is quite a feat considering it wasn't any expensive bike that caused above 500 bucks.Ok.Enough of the bullshit already.

Getting onto the bicycle.I set out from my block and began riding towards Toa Payoh Central. My plan was to ride down to Novena. Then Newton and Orchard and ending up at Dhoby Ghaut and City Hall eventually. From there, I'll go on down to the Twin Durians and ride on down to Kallang. Before making my way back home via Boon Keng and Balestia.Therefore.Having roughly described the route that I took already.I shall now let the pictures do the rest of the story-telling.

The PIE at 2.30am in the morning. It's hard to believe that it can actually look this surreal.

And straight to the Goodwood Park Hotel at Scotts road.Didn't really take any shots of the Novena or Newton as there was nothing interesting to take.Also.Had a bad experience with the police at those areas last time so....yah.

Some shots of Tangs shopping centre and the underpass beside it.It's amazing how within a few hours, thousands upon thousands of Singaporeans will be passing by this now deserted looking street and underpass.

Cross junction leading to the Istana. Now this is really a sight to behold.NO CARS.
(P.S.Now.I SWEAR that I really took pictures of the Istana. But somehow.I think the rumoured billion dollar forcefield built around the Istana must have a built in cloaking device as well.Which was why nothing came out in the pictures.Which is also why I didn't publish them.)
